Families across Canada are under attack. Every few months there seems to be yet more government legislation or policy attacking parental rights and harming children, especially in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec and, now, federally. The "nanny state" is NOW telling parents how to discipline, educate and indoctrinate their own children!
Ontario's legislature just passed Bill 28 replacing "mother" and "father", with "parent" and "birth parent" when registering births. Children can now have up to FOUR "parents" registered.
If passed, Bill 89 will redefine best interests of the child in Ontario family law to include "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" as factors to be considered in custody cases. This will make it much easier to remove children of devout parents from their homes, especially if their parents reject theories of "sexual orientation" or "gender identity."
Ontario's new sex-education curriculum (imposed on schools by Kathleen Wynne and supported by PC Leader Patrick Brown) sexualizes children beginning at age 6. Apparently, Premier Wynne and Patrick Brown agree that it's more important for children to learn sexual techniques (not science) and gender theory (not geography).
Alberta's Bill 10 forces schools (including faith-based independent schools) to "facilitate" so-called gay-straight alliance clubs on school premises with school staff.
In Quebec, Loyola High School had to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court in order to defend their right to teach students Catholic religion and morality (as parents desired) instead of moral relativism as the Government of Quebec demanded!
And what about Justin Trudeau? He is rumoured to be preparing a bill that would make it a crime for loving, judicious parents to spank their children for purposes of correction.
As a father, I oppose this elitist assault on the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit. Government should respect and support parents, not undermine their rights. As Leader of the federal Conservative Party, I will push for measures to uphold the parental rights of ALL Canadians. As Prime Minister, I will introduce a Parental Bill of Rights to give federal protection in law to the parental rights of all Canadians. I will also repeal any anti-spanking bill brought in by Justin Trudeau.
If you believe that parents, not politicians and elitist bureaucrats, know best how to lead their families and raise their children, I need your help. Please make a tax-deductible contribution to my campaign, and vote for me in the upcoming Conservative Party leadership election. Your support will help me continue to fight for sensible government policy and legislation and for a Conservative Party that stands with, respects and empowers parents. And although the deadline has now passed to join the party to vote in this election, you can still join to take part in policy development, nominations, and other important initiatives in the future.
